French Style Floral & Ribbon Embroidery

This French-style floral and ribbon embroidery is based on a fabric pattern found on a Louis XV-XVI transitional fauteuil. Though evoking the delicate and romantic sensibilities of the 18th century, it is an embroidery that transcends changing styles in the 21st century.

The design was created for drapery borders and has subsequently been adapted for use on a chaise lounge, a bench top, a headboard, pillow faces, and valances.
